The accounting module is only as good as what feeds it
The thing people underestimate about Odoo is how much of your bookkeeping is decided outside the Accounting app. When a product is set to the wrong valuation method in Inventory, your COGS is wrong and Accounting faithfully records the wrong number. When a bill of materials is missing a labor line, your manufactured cost is understated and every margin report downstream is off. When a POS session closes without reconciling to the bank deposit, the gap sits in a suspense account until someone goes looking. Odoo does exactly what you configure it to do, which is precisely the problem when the configuration is off.

How pricing works for odoo bookkeeping
Odoo bookkeeping pricing depends on which modules you run and how much they talk to each other. A straightforward Accounting-only instance is lighter work than a full setup with Inventory, Manufacturing, and POS all feeding the ledger. Community versus Enterprise matters too, because Community shifts some automated steps back to manual work that we then handle by hand.
The quote lists the ongoing monthly retainer plus any one-off setup, cleanup, or migration cost as separate lines. Migration into Odoo is priced as its own project, with the retainer starting after cutover. Nothing gets bundled to look smaller than it is.
